The importance of marrying Jewish
Dear Readers,

Chuppa at a Jewish Wedding
Last week I wrote an article about the disaster of intermarriage and today I want to focus on the importance of marrying Jewish. We all know that the nation of Israel is a holy nation and a light to the nations. We must strengthen our nation and do everything in our power to be fruitful. To strengthen the Jewish Nations means that we must not marry own but to marry among ourselves. In Israel, this is not a problem, since we don´t have a great number of non-Jews living here. But for Jews living in the darkness of Galut, this is a greater problem. The best way to make sure that intermarriage will not occur is obviously to move to Israel. Unfortunately many Jews still believe that Galut is the right place to live and therefore they are jeopardizing the continuation of the Jewish nation. Of course, Jews outside Israel also marry Jews, but it is less important to them because if it had been very important they had made sure that their children and grandchildren would grow up in the land of Israel.
How to make sure that our children marry Jewish
The only way to really make sure that children and grandchildren marry Jews is actually to live in Israel. But for sure you also have communities outside Israel that are strong and where few Jews marry out. But we still have to keep in mind that more than 80 % of Jews marry out. Of course, in religious circles, the number is much lower.
Study at University
When you start to study at university you suddenly leave your Jewish bubble. You meet new people and of course, many of them are non-Jews. You have parties and everything else and it is very easy to hook up with some random person that you like. This is the danger of studying at a University outside Israel. Thank Gd that you have Yeshiva University for men and Stern College for women but not all Jews want or can study there.
In Israel, at any university or college you also have parties, and girls and boys get to know each other both in social and study environments. But here nearly all if not all students are Jewish. So you have nothing to worry about.
Gd willing all Jews across the globe will soon understand that the only way to make sure that the only way to make sure that the Jewish continuation will continue is to move to Israel and establish homes here.
