Soon 4 months have passed since I married my beloved Sara. Life is so good, thank the Good Lord. I was a bit unsure how our two lives would blend together. In the end of the day, we are two individuals that have to live under one roof. It wasn´t only the two of us; it was also how to blend in with her family of 5 kids. Thank God, everything went much smoother that I ever could dream about. The very good thing was that I have had a lot of opportunity to get to know Sara´s kids. I spent a lot of time with her and her family where we live.

I don’t have a lot of spare time, thank God. When I’m not working on my Judaica project, which I hope to launch in the next few months, I study Torah. I am reading a lot of Rav Dov Lior’s Torah, and it is very interesting. I read his thoughts on Yom Haatzmaut, which made me reconsider its purpose in a way I hadn’t appreciated before. I view the creation of the Jewish State as a divine act, but not as the start of the Redemption. For me, the Redemption was Pesach and only that. It was hard for me to understand that to thank God for a wonder as the creation of the State was should be celebrated with special prayers and Hallel as we do on Pesach.

So, this year we spent Yom Haatzmaut in Maon in Har Hevron, where I lived before getting remarried. I decided

to go all in during prayers. It was a very amazing feeling. To really thank God for the creation of the State of Israel and the wonder that He bestowed upon us.

On Israel’s Independence Day, my wife worked as a facepainter at a big event in Har Hevron. She has been facepainting for the past 30 years. It was a really successful event. More about her work and pictures will be published soon. After the event, we had a nice barbecue with friends in Maon before it was time to head back home again.

Anyway, now it is time to continue with more work on my Judaica web project. Looking forward to being in touch with you all soon again.
