Reflections after the wedding
Dear readers, as most of you know, I married Sara a few days ago. I have so much to say and tell, so I don´t know where to start. It is hard when you have to plan a whole wedding by yourself. No offense to our parents, but they live abroad and could not help us coordinate the wedding. In addition to this, a second wedding is very different to a first wedding – our first weddings were mostly planned by our parents, and we showed up on the day. This time round, we are older and more independent so this was very much our wedding.
The wedding was actually quite big, about 150 people came to celebrate with us. Most of them came from Maon and Yad Binyamin. All our close friends came and even some of Sara´s relatives and friends from abroad came to celebrate this amazing occasion with us. I was very pleased that all my close friends came, only two Rabbis couldn´t come.
Everyone was so happy. We all danced together for a long time and you couldn´t at all feel that the average age was about 50 and not 20. I really felt that everyone gave everything for us.
I praised God more than once for such an amazing wife he has given me. Sara and I had some time to be by ourselves during the wedding to just enjoy each other´s company. Before the chuppa we sat down together and had something small to eat to break our fast and also during the wedding itself we ate by ourselves so that whilst everyone else was eating we could mingle with our guests.
The food was amazing. I had quite big expectations for the food, we had only heard good things about the hall and their food. But when it comes to your event, you want everything to be great.
All our guests really enjoyed the evening and they all stayed late, everything for us. I have so many people I want to thank for making this day so special for Sara and me. But it is not fair to just mention a few of you, all of you who came added to the uniqueness of our wedding.
