The Torah in our hearts
The Torah is meant to be kept in the Land of Israel and not in the darkness of Galut. In Galut we only keep the Torah and its commandments to not forget them. For sure we are not allowed to not keep them there but its quite useless. In the Land of Israel the Torah is in our hearts. The Torah and the Land of Israel is one and true. It is not written anywhere that the Torah and Galut is connected at all. To be religious in Galut is kind of laughing God strait to his face, like keeping Kosher Style. We like the concept but we are not ready to do it the right way. Jews in outside Israel who for some reason decide to stay there according to my Torah opinion doesn´t have a real connection to God. They do prioritize their own comfort instead of focusing on the Torah and the Land of Israel. The Torah is not in their heart rather just in their heads. It is not true believe in God.
Who doesn´t want to live in the Jewish Homeland? It is not only a commandment from the Torah but if we want our children and grandchildren to grow up Jewish and have a Jewish future. To live in Galut with more than 80 % intermarriage we can be quite sure that the Jewish chain will be broken. It is not only by the non-religious Jews we find intermarriage, also among Jewish who grow up religious but decided to leave the path of their parents. But if you live in Israel, even if you are not religious the chance that you will marry a non-Jew is very low.
Torah in your head is far away from having Torah in your Heart. When you have it only in your head you don´t really believe in it. It is something nice but it doesn´t inspire you to really live it. In theory it is nice but not in practice. But when you have Torah in your heart you always want it and you even want it more as more attached you become to it.
Thank God you also have Jews in Galut that slowly slowly start to feel God in their Hearts and they decide to make the move and move to Israel. It is still a slow process but the hearts for many starts to open up.
For some reason we still need to have Rabbis in Galut to work with the Jewish population that still lives there but their primary goal should not be to inspire the people to strengthen the communities rather inspire them to move to Israel. For example Rabbi Riskin inspired his congregants to go on Aliya together with him. This is the right approach of any rabbi. If we are doing God´s will then he will bless us. But if we are working against him and his commandments, especially the commandment of settling and conquer the land if Israel he will not in the long run show any mercy. One of the punishments is assimilation and intermarriage.
Thank God the Torah is in my heart and I have been living in Israel most of the time since age 19. I have lived in community settlements both in Samaria, Judea and in Har Hevron. I have lived on a hilltop in a moving container to establish a new community and all the time with the Torah in my heart doing God´s will.
Wish you all a good day
